Sage Advice from Tarot

Were I different, less gullible/naive sort of person, I would laugh this stuff off. But I’m not. I firmly believe in Tarot, Dreams, The Supernatural and God’s Great Scheme Of Things, (He’s just got a different agenda than we do)

My Daily Lesson:

Make a clean break with the past. Embrace the future with all its possibilities.

The card in the Lesson position represents the personal investment or sacrifice required to derive full benefit from your current situation.

The Six of Cups in this position requires that you let go of your powerful hold on the past. Put it down, back away, say good-bye. Turn and face change; move forward from a position of assertiveness.

Release the emotional attachments that have tied you to the emotional, psychological and psychic vulnerabilities of your past. You cannot "fix" the past — the present is your point of power. Your future is compelling; it has tremendous possibilities, but not if it has to compete with the almost addictive hold the old emotional life can have over you. Do whatever you can to break the spell.

The Six of this suit generally represents a refreshing openness and innocence, a willingness to learn and an optimism that things will get better as we advance together in understanding. The traditional title, The Past, reminds us of our original nature, when we were young and enthusiastic, when anything was possible and the future was an open book. We are to remember that this same freshness, those new possibilities, are always available to us, even now.

My Situation:

Resist the impulse to join those around you who are becoming polarized in opposing camps.

The card that lands in the Situation position refers to the circumstances you find yourself in with regard to your concern.

When the Two of Coins is in this position, you may be surrounded by people who are busy taking sides. If so, resist the impulse to join either camp. Some people with a need to be in control may jump to conclusions. You do not have to join them, however, or take a position one way or the other.

Ask yourself — are all the facts in yet? Or do unknowns still govern the day? If you are patient, you will spare yourself grief, while truth reveals itself in its own good time. Don’t let fear have its way with you — you may discover the situation was never as serious as it seemed.

This suit, most often named "Coins" or "Pentacles", is a symbol for a magical talisman that represented wealth or potential. This suit represents something supportive that is available to you — whether it be health, some kind of talent, or a material or financial resource.

The Two in this suit generally features a youth juggling, with two coins juggled in figure-eight fashion, or just the coins without the youth — one heads up, the other tails — both flipping in the air. It is clear that until one or the other coin drops, the final call can not be made; there is more to learn before a decision can be made about appropriate action.

This card counsels patience, so do not allow yourself to be rushed. The figure-eight image is a symbol of immortality and eternity. Its message is "No need to hurry. You have all the time you need to work this out, no matter how things appear right now." Implied within this scenario is the idea that changes are in the works, but you will do better to stay calm until you have more information. Everything is in flux at a time like this.

*shrugs* I have my own interpretation of this reading and it’s too complex for me to articulate properly. Blarg! My lack of skills to express what I feel and think, at times, frustrates me.
